Making the World a Better Place Through Positive Interactions

We have the power to change the world. When we interact without judgment, we are able to accept others as they are. With acceptance, we allow ourselves to have more positive relationships. This positively impacts us as well as those we are engaging with. If we all interact this way, it will spread and have a positive impact on the world.

Mindful Interactions

Being mindful of our interactions is crucial if we want to change the world in a positive way. Pay attention to how you feel when you have positive interactions as opposed to when you have negative interactions. With mindfulness, you will find  yourself experiencing more positive interactions because it feels good to do so.

“When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That’s my religion.” – Abraham Lincoln

Acceptance

We must interact with acceptance. When we judge others, we assume that their lives are similar to ours. We assume that they had similar choices in life, and with those choices, they made poor decisions. This is faulty thinking. We are forming strong opinions about topics we know little about. Without judgment, we can be accepting of others. We develop an understanding that others have experienced events in life that we cannot comprehend.

The Philosophy

We are all born with a brain chemistry that nobody understands. We are all born into family situations that nobody understands, except maybe siblings. We all have life experiences and trauma that nobody understands. We can’t grasp what makes people who they are, so let’s be accepting.  We should interact without judgment. We should make the most of every interaction. If we all make an effort to have positive interactions with everyone we come in contact with, it will spread. We have within us the ability to change the world. I pledge to do so. Do you?
